Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Hartley Taxidermy. I am sure you will be impressed with my quality work and friendly service. My number one goal is quality. I have completed numerous courses of study, have all the necessary licenses to operate my business, and hours upon hours of hands-on-training to guarantee perfection in my work.
My interest in taxidermy work began when I was young. At first, mounting animals was only a hobby I undertook for my friends and family. I learned the art by reading books, watching video tapes and hands on training. They encouraged me to continue as I have for the last 19 years and also pursue a career in the field.
I attended training classes at The Mountain Valley School of Taxidermy in Kent, Washington, and tutored under Master Taxidermist Harry Poulson. My qualifications and business affiliates include:
- Licensed taxidermist with the State of Washington and the Federal Department of Interior
- Member of the National Taxidermy Association
- Member of the Northwest Taxidermy Association
- Life member of the North American Hunting Club
- Standing member of the National Rifle Association
Please take a moment to visit the photo gallery (click here) for a display of some of my recent work. You will see that I mount small and big game animals in head and life-size mountings. I also specialize in full body mounts of migratory and upland birds.
I look forward to working with you to create your perfect mount.
